[Dinner is served late in the mess hall because it's a grand banquet in honor of the Magistrate of Kibo. It's a pretty modest celebration, all things considered: the people at Kibo are invited, along with her family, any Searing Wind members who feel like dropping in from wherever they've been as of late, and a few friends among the other Keepers of the Vigil. That's about it.

Still, Kalika looks like she's having fun. Her husband and her children are, of course, all in attendance, together with her husband's familiars and the entire division of the Strays from Seigi. The food, mind you, is excellent, and there is more than enough booze.

You're welcome to come and go as you please. Kalika's easy like that.]

Lots of possibilities, really. I ask other higher-ups what they think because they know other conspiracies better than I do.

They should have, by now. [ She says that with a lot of cheer though. Quite optimistic. ]

I still owe him for choosing me to wield his guns for now.

[He chooses not to answer immediately. It might be because he's gone back to fixing his things before the next set.]

[Nodding in understanding.]

We all did what we could there. Elias, though... he worked the hardest, in my opinion, and he ended up losing just as much.

Mm, I see.

[ She's slightly biting on her lip while stealing a glance at Eli. In her mind, this is probably why he chooses to immerse himself in all that work. Still though, he's here, so that's gotta be something. ]

You should talk to him, if you want to get to know him. He seems to find you guys interesting enough.

[ She smiles, shrugging. ]
